EU commission recommends targeted measures against oil price

The European Commission recommended on Wednesday that EU nations take targeted action to help that most vulnerable deal with soaring oil prices, a spokesman said.

"The commission is of the opinion that EU member states can and must take targeted measures to help those most vulnerable and who are worst affected by the situation," chief spokesman Johannes Laitenberger said.
